Quick... very quick !

My 8 years old niece was going through her mom's bedside table when she found some , hum, battery operated device ( k'mon, you know which one I'm talking about ) With perfect timing , my sister entered the room and found her daughter standing by the bed, holding the... thing, wondering what to make of it . Without a flinch, my sister grabbed it and said : " Wow ! You've found the flashlight ! I was looking for it . Thanks !! "

Quick... very quick !

But somebody needs a better hideout...

Only problem is... my dd LOVES flashlights and would then be hunting it out any chance she got :) Was definitely quick thinking though :)

Thanks for stopping by Crayons (via Michele!!)

Same thing happened to a friend of mine except this particular device was VERY lifelike. She turns around upon hearing "MOM! Theres a willy in your drawer!!!!". She about died of course. Here via Michele. Going to snoop around a bit.

Yes, I think a better hiding spot is in order; maybe a shoe box in the closet??

ROFLMFAO! That is classic. I think once we had kids, every one of us who own a batter operated object had to find a better hiding place. Thankfully, my daughter was only 2 when she found it. Nothing to explain there. Whew!

PS - Michele sends me today.

LOL....Just like in the movie Parenthood, but that one happens in front of the whole family. Maybe I should consider a new place for the "flashlight"

Not a very bright kid if she didn't realize there was no bulb. Still pretty embarrassing.

Michele sent me.

Just a trumpet player said...

Yellojkt: she is actually one of the brightest kids you'll ever meet. But since she has a Luminou flashlight, one that has no apparent lightbulb, just a glowing plastic cover, she thought her mom used the same kind of technology... after all, she held that thing for about 5 sec...

Reminds me of my own childhood experiences rummmaging through my parents' room when they were away.

It's a wonder my mind wasn't damaged permanently!

Good times!
